How to get involved

Stevenage Homes is committed to putting customers’ views at the heart of everything we do to improve services. We want you to have a say in how your housing services are run.

There are a number of ways you can get involved in tenant participation. For more information on any of them, please contact our Resident Involvement Team on 01438 242183 or email resident.involvement@stevenagehomes.org.uk or the Federation of Stevenage Tenants Associations on 01438 315822 or at fost4@yahoo.co.uk

Ways you can get involved

One way to get involved is to join our Customer Pool. The Customer Pool is a group of customers who have said they would like to be involved in our services. We take details of how you would like to take part, for example you may wish to attend our events or you may prefer to take part in surveys that you complete in your own home, and which of our services you are particularly interested in. We then use that information to invite you to get involved in our services in a way that suits you.

You can find out more about our Customer Pool by downloading the first issue of our Customer Pool newsletter, or download a form to join the Customer Pool, by clicking below:

Another way to get involved is to join a Tenants’ Association (a group of Council tenants from a particular area) or a Tenants’ and Residents Association (a group of people including Council tenants and other residents) in your area. Associations normally meet once a month to discuss local issues.

If there is not already an Association in your area you could think about developing one yourself.

Stevenage Homes also holds regular participation events like our Have A Say Days and our Customer Conference, where customers take part in workshops to tell us how they would like us to improve, and the Van With The Plan Week, where we went out into local communities to gather customers’ opinion. Look out for details of future events in our newspaper, ‘Housing For You’, and on the news section of this site.
