The Federation of Stevenage Tenants and Associations (FOSTA)
What FOSTA is
- FOSTA stands for Federation of Stevenage Tenants & associations
- They are a group made up of tenants and resident associations across Stevenage - there are 10 tenant & resident assoc in the town
- Individual members can also join – they welcome all tenants and residents
- They represent the views of tenants and residents of Stevenage Homes, the Council and other organisations
What FOSTA do
- They meet once a month - usually the first Weds at 5pm at Daneshill House – all residents of Stevenage are welcome
- FOSTA discuss housing issues and issues with other services the Council provide that affect tenants and residents of Stevenage.
- They give their views on Stevenage Homes policies and procedures
- They bring forward views from tenant groups to Stevenage Homes
The benefits to being involved
- Members of FOSTA get to be involved and help make improvements to services
- They gain confidence and learn new skills, life skills training courses are available for free
- If you are involved any travel, childcare or carer costs will be paid
