If you live in a flat block with three or more flats you will be able to connect to an integrated reception system (IRS), a socket in your home will allow you to connect to the IRS to receive TV signals. If you have a digital ready television or a digital set top box you will be able to receive more channels via digital TV. The socket also allows you to connect to Freesat and Sky satellite services and digital and FM radio.

If you do not have a socket for the IRS please contact our customer service centre for advice.

If you live in a house you may choose to install an aerial or satellite dish, at your own expense, but you must ask us for landlord’s consent first. Pease see 'How to apply to carry out alterations to your home' or contact our customer service centre for advice.

All Stevenage Homes managed properties also have an outlet for digital cable television. This is a subscription service provided by Virgin Media. For more information visit www.virginmedia.co.uk.

All tenants and leaseholders must purchase their own television licence if they wish to watch television. If you do not have a TV license you may be fined.

Customers living in the Anglia ITV region will be switching to digital TV signals in April 2011. You must make sure that you can receive digital channels by this date or you may not be able to use your television. For more information about the digital switchover visit  www.digitaluk.co.uk.
