We have become only the 3rd Arms Length Management Organisation in the Country to achieve Level 3 of the Equality Standard for Local Government.
To achieve the standard we had to assess our own services and then undergo a rigorous Peer Assessment where three equality and diversity experts from other local authorities visited to analyse our work. The thorough two day assessment included interviews with staff, customers, key partners and stakeholders.
Ted Jones, Chair of Stevenage Homes said, “Achieving the Level 3 standard shows how committed Stevenage Homes is to treating everyone in its workforce and in the communities it serves in an equitable and fair way.”
“We’re delighted to be the 3rd ALMO nationally for developing fair and equal services. I would like to thank everyone in the organisation for contributing to this achievement and for their dedication to providing the best possible service to our customers. Feedback from our assessors will also help us to target those areas in which we could still improve and we look forward to embracing that challenge as we move forward.”
We will publish the full report of our assessment on this website shortly.
