Home4U has changed

If you have applied to become a Council tenant and are using Home4U to bid for a new home you need to know about some changes that we have made.

From Friday 14 January we will no longer be publishing the Home4U magazine that applicants can use to find and bid for empty Council homes.

It costs over £30,000 per year to print and circulate the fortnightly magazine, but less than 2% of the applicants bidding for a home use it to make their bids. A recent consultation with applicants has shown that because the magazine is not well used they would prefer us to stop printing it and save the money.

Applicants will still be able search and bid for empty homes using www.home4u.org.uk. If you don’t have access to the internet at home or work you can use the computers in our customer service centre or visit a local library to use the internet for free to make your bid. Details of homes that are available to bid on can also be seen on display in the customer service centre.
