The Gordon Craig Theatre will become the venue for our second community variety show this Wednesday.

Following the success of ‘Supported Housing’s Got Talent’, this year the audience will be treated to a performance featuring residents and talented local youngsters in ‘Let Us Entertain You’.

We are well on the way this year to exceeding the £2500 raised for charity by the 2007 event. The money raised will go to charities relating to older and younger people.

Residents will be performing alongside a host of local talent, ranging from schools, children’s choirs and youth theatres, to instrumentalists, dancers and Stevenage’s very own member of the Inner Magic Circle and the International Brotherhood of Magician’s Champion. Over 130 performers are involved.

Everyone involved has had a wonderful time preparing and rehearsing for this unique, one-of-a-kind, multi-generational extravaganza!

Speaking about the show Debbie Rabot, director of housing and customer services said. ”'Supported Housing’s Got Talent” in 2007 created a great deal of excitement and residents really enjoyed performing. This year we wanted to bring generations together so we have invited local schools, youth and dance groups to take part too. The performance has been generously supported by many of our contractors so that all of the proceeds can be given to the charities that have been nominated. We are expecting tickets to sell out quickly, so we will raise lots of money for some excellent local causes."

The show will be a matinee performance starting at 2pm.  Tickets are still available from the Gordon Craig box office on 08700 131 030 or email: boxoffice@stevenage-leisure.co.uk: Adults £7, Concessions £5, Children (aged 3-12) £3.

The event will include a raffle and organisers are currently appealing for prizes, there are also further sponsorship opportunities for local businesses. To find out more, or  to offer support, please contact the Supported Housing Team on 01438 242711.
