Lift out of service at The Towers

We are aware that a short leak has caused some flooding at The Towers (Town Centre) which has affected the electrical systems in the block and resulted in the lift being out of service.

All electrical systems are being inspected in the block and remedial repair work will be carried out once the systems are completely dried out. We are working closely with Stevenage Fire Service to ensure that adequate fire detection is still provided.

We are assessing the damage to the lift shaft at the moment. Our early inspection indicates that the lift could be out of service for a minimum of a week.

We understand that this will cause some residents considerable inconvenience and we will be contacting you as soon as we have an update.
