More choice for repairs appointments

We are now offering customers the opportunity to have simple repairs completed at more convenient times.

Customers can now ask for certain repairs to be completed between 4pm and 6pm Monday to Friday or between 8am and noon on Saturdays.

This is a pilot scheme, which we are running to find out how many customers would like to make use of the new timeslots.  If it proves popular the new times will be offered permanently.

Speaking about the project Geoff Wharton, Director of Housing Technical Services said “We already provide customers with the option to make morning or afternoon appointments and have recently introduced the choice to book an appointment between 9:30am and 2:30pm to allow parents to make school runs. By offering later working hours Monday to Friday and Saturday morning appointments we hope to make our services even more flexible, especially for customers that work.”

The new appointments will only be available for simple, non emergency, repairs that require either a plumber, electrician or carpenter. If customer feedback is positive more trades may be added.
