Sheltered housing review

News Item Details

Date
4.37pm, 9 February 2011

In partnership with Stevenage Borough Council we are asking residents in sheltered housing schemes for their views on what changes we can make to our services in response to a 28% cut in Hertfordshire County Council funding.

Between 14 February and 18 March we are holding a series of meetings in our sheltered schemes so that we can listen to customers about which parts of our service they most value and their ideas for how we can make the reduced funding stretch. Customers are also being asked to complete a short, confidential questionnaire.

Every sheltered housing resident has received a questionnaire and an invite to a meeting. If you haven’t received your invitation, or need help to take part in the meeting, please speak to your supported housing officer. If you are unable to participate we can arrange to visit you to discuss your views.

We will use your feedback to develop some proposals for the services we provide. We’ll share these with you in the summer and will be asking you to comment on them.

Careline customers will also be consulted later in the year.

At the moment Flexicare customers at Silkin Court will not be affected by the funding reductions.
