We have been shortlisted for the UK Housing Awards for the second year running.
In 2008 Sarah Brewerton, Senior Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, was awarded the title of Inspirational Colleague of the Year.
This year we have been recognised in the category of ‘Raising the standards of customer service’ for our ‘Opening Doors’ programme. The project focused on providing excellent customer service by integrating customer access, resident involvement, communications, equality and diversity, supported housing and customer profiling. The Chartered Institute of Housing has shortlisted only 10 projects from 329 entries into the category.
Speaking about being shortlisted Lorraine O’Brien, Chief Executive, said "Having achieved a two star rating earlier this year we have already proved that Stevenage Homes is making dramatic improvements to its services. Being shortlisted is further recognition that in some areas of our work we are now amongst the best in the country."
The winner will be announced on Wednesday 11 November at a gala ceremony in London and the trophy will be presented by Tim Campbell, the first winner of BBC’s The Apprentice.
