The future of Council housing in Stevenage

Stevenage Borough Council is undertaking a Housing Options Appraisal Project to consider the future options for managing council homes in Stevenage.

The project will look at whether the housing management should continue to be carried out at arms length by Stevenage Homes or directly by the Council.

A steering group - comprising elected members and staff of Stevenage Borough Council, tenant representatives and representatives from the Board of Stevenage Homes - is directing the project. This group will ensure that the project is carried out effectively, and that everyone who wants to have a say has the opportunity to do so.

We will provide more information about the project as it becomes available.
