Meet the Board

There are currently 12 Board members on the Stevenage Homes Board to help run the service. They consist of:

  • Four Councillors
  • Three tenants
  • One leaseholder
  • Four independent people with professional skills

What do they do?

  • The Stevenage Homes Board will meet formally every 6 weeks.
  • Its role is to oversee the performance of the Company in managing and maintaining the Council's housing stock.
  • The Board has a strategic focus and will not get involved in day to day operational issues.
  • It will hold the Chief Executive to account for the delivery of the housing service to its customers.
  • The Board is primarily concerned with the achievement of service and performance standards, and with all aspects of value for money.

To do this the Board has formed three committees; one to look at finance and audit matters, one to look at personnel and policy issues and one to monitor the delivery of the housing service and the implementation of the plans to improve that service.
