Caretaking

A caretaker will regularly visit each scheme to make sure the grounds are clean and tidy.

Window cleaning

We will clean the windows to the shared areas and the outside of some properties six times a year. Your Supported Housing Officer can tell you if this includes your home. You are responsible for cleaning the inside of the windows in your home.

Garden maintenance

We will cut the grass in the shared gardens at least eight times a year and maintain the shrub beds twice a year. Tenants are welcome to 'adopt' an area of the shared garden. Please discuss this with your Supported Housing Officer if you would like more information.

Decorating

We decorate the shared areas every five years.

Television license

Many sheltered housing properties are covered by a shared (concessionary) television license we pay for. Your Supported Housing Officer can tell you whether this includes your home. If so please give the Supported Housing Officer the license for your old home (together with any letters you receive from the National TV Licensing Office) and we will arrange to add you to the shared license.

Repairs

Please report and repairs needed to any shared areas to your Supported Housing Officer.
